What's in the pack
Each pack contains WhiskerWell replacement filters: 3 filters in the 3-pack or 9 filters in the 9-pack. At the labeled 4-week replacement cadence that is roughly 12 weeks or 36 weeks of filters. Actual replacement frequency varies with use, pets, and water quality.
Filtration
The filter media are cotton, activated carbon, and ion-exchange resin; the supplier describes the overall system as quadruple filtration. It is designed to help reduce odors and capture hair, dirt, and other visible impurities. It is not a water sterilizer or a substitute for safe drinking water.
When and how to replace
Plan on a fresh filter roughly every 4 weeks, or sooner if flow drops, an odor develops, or the filter looks heavily soiled. Rinse a new filter with clean water before installing it. Use only compatible WhiskerWell replacement filters.

How often should I change the filter?
Plan on roughly every 4 weeks. Each kit's included filters are labeled as a supply for that period: Standard is a 3-month supply (3 filters), Bundle a 6-month supply (6 filters), and Deluxe an 11-month supply (12 filters). Replace the filter earlier if it looks heavily soiled, an odor develops, or flow declines.
